Moonrise Distillery, Clayton GA:
This fun distillery has a speakeasy tasting room, retail shop & offers tours and tasting experiences (tours scheduled). They often have live music & host special events such as bingo. There products range from bourbon, gin, vodka, snow cream, rye, brandy, & other non alcoholic products such as bbq sauces, pickles fermented whiskey barrels, hand crafted ice cream with spirits, & more! Also, Das Ice Cream in Helen uses Moonrise’s snow cream to make some of their adult ice cream flavors š

R.M. Rose, Dillard GA:
Just North of Moonrise is R.M. Rose Distillery (the perfect daytrip to hit two places)! R.M. offers free tastings & tours! There small retail shop looks as if it was a general store from 150 years ago. They offer vodka, whiskey, bourbon, moonshine & more. They have an vast array of different whiskey flavors & their fire on the mountain cinnamon cherries are delish! The history here is pretty cool!

Grandaddy Mimm’s, Blairsville GA:
Located in Blairsville, just north of Helen, this distillery offers tours & tasting Thursday-Saturday every hour on the hour- walk ins only! They offer moonshine, vodka, & whiskey! Tommy Townsend is the founder of this distillery. Here is the great-grandson of Mimm the original moonshiner! Tommy is also a musician who played with Waylon Jennings. Be sure to check out the Mountain Music & Moonshine Festival 7/29-7/31!
